Elvis Tromp
Elvis Tromp is a self-taught painter and graphic designer from Aruba, whose work has captivated art lovers for more than four decades. Working primarily in oils, he brings the island’s landscapes to life with warmth, charm, and a deeply personal touch — each scene reflecting his vision and emotional connection to his surroundings.
Elvis began painting Aruban landscapes in childhood, developing his style and technique through exploration, persistence, and self-discovery. His portfolio also includes heartfelt portraits of friends and family, book illustrations, and over 80 unique postage stamp designs.
While the early years of his artistic journey were challenging, his independent approach empowered him to forge a distinctive identity as a respected, widely exhibited artist. In recent years, Elvis has expanded his practice, experimenting with abstract and figurative works, adding new dimensions to his already diverse creative repertoire.
“Art is my way of interpreting the world — each canvas is a dialogue between my environment and my imagination.” — Elvis Tromp
