Born in Connecticut, USA and now based in Aruba, Jean Cherouny is an innovative painter whose work fuses motion, rhythm, and expression into a vivid visual language. A trained Active Expressionist, she has reimagined the very act of painting by merging it with her passion for movement — skating paint across canvas on rollerblades. Her paintings are in many collections internationally.
Her signature brushless technique grew from her background in skiing and art education, earning a Bachelor in Science from the University of Vermont in 1991. She later recieved her Master in Fine Art at Johnson State College, USA. Since then, Jean has exhibited her dynamic, layered works in galleries across the United States, Europe, and Aruba. She has participated in the Aruba Art Fair 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025.
Each performance on wheels transforms the canvas into a track of emotion and freedom, where color, energy, and physicality collide. Her paintings aren’t merely visual works — they are kinetic experiences that challenge tradition and celebrate the beauty of motion in art.
