Jean Cherouny

Rollerblade Painter

Born in Vermont, Jean Cherouny is an innovative painter whose work blends motion, rhythm, and expression into a vibrant visual language. As a trained Active Expressionist, she has redefined the act of painting by integrating her passion for movement—literally skating her paint onto the canvas using rollerblades.

Jean’s unique technique emerged from her background in art education, earning a BS from the University of Vermont in 1991. Since then, she has showcased her work in galleries across America, Europe, and Aruba, where her energetic and layered paintings speak to a dynamic interplay between body and brushless creation.

With each performance on wheels, Cherouny transforms canvas into a track of emotion and freedom. Her paintings are not just visual—they are kinetic experiences, reflecting an artist who challenges convention and celebrates the beauty of motion in art.
