About us

ArtisA – Art is Aruba

Welcome to ArtisA, the creative heartbeat of Aruba — where art transforms lives, revitalizes communities, and inspires change.

Founded in the heart of San Nicolas by visionary cultural producer Tito Bolivar, ArtisA (short for Art is Aruba) is a social gallery and multidisciplinary art platform that uses the power of visual arts, fashion, performance, and public installations to empower artists and engage communities.

We believe that art is not just something you see — it’s something you experience, live, and share. Through cultural programming, exhibitions, and public events, ArtisA has become one of the Caribbean’s leading creative institutions, turning San Nicolas into the Street Art Capital of the Caribbean and placing Aruba on the global cultural map.

Our Mission

Champion artistic expression and innovation.

At ArtisA, we believe every brushstroke, performance, and idea has the power to shape culture and reimagine the world. We provide artists with the freedom, tools, and space to explore bold concepts, embrace experimentation, and push creative boundaries. Whether through gallery exhibitions, mural productions, or fashion installations, ArtisA is a launchpad for the visionaries of today and the change-makers of tomorrow.

Build inclusive, creative communities.

Creativity thrives where diversity is celebrated and collaboration is nurtured. That’s why ArtisA actively builds bridges between artists, residents, schools, and organizations — making art accessible to everyone. From children’s workshops to large-scale public events, we create spaces where people from all walks of life can come together, connect through creativity, and feel seen and heard. Everyone has a place in our creative ecosystem.

Use art as a tool for social dialogue, healing, and empowerment.

We see art not just as decoration — but as declaration. Through storytelling, symbolism, and shared experience, our projects spark conversation around identity, justice, environment, and community resilience. From murals addressing heritage and belonging to fashion pieces that express liberation and power, we use art to uplift voices, confront silence, and inspire hope. Because healing begins when stories are told — and transformation begins when they are seen. We offer a platform for both established and emerging creatives to develop, showcase, and sell their work — while cultivating meaningful connections between art, people, and place.

ART WEEK ARUBA

Aruba’s Most Powerful Cultural Experience

One of our biggest contributions to the island and the region is Art Week Aruba — an electrifying week-long celebration of creativity, culture, and connection, curated and produced by ArtisA.

Under this powerful umbrella, ArtisA produces and curates:

Aruba Art Fair

he Aruba Art Fair brings together international muralists, local artists, and global creatives to transform San Nicolas into a living museum. Dozens of massive murals now breathe life into the city’s walls, celebrating themes of heritage, identity, ecology, and humanity.

Public Art & Murals

This is not your typical runway show. In Art Fashion, artists become fashion designers, using wearable art to express themes like social justice, culture, gender, and liberation. It’s bold, beautiful, and deeply moving.

Art Fashion – Fashion with a Cause

More than 50 large-scale murals, installations, and public sculptures created by world-renowned artists now define the cityscape of San Nicolas. This open-air gallery invites residents and tourists to see, feel, and think differently — right in the public domain.

Together, these events generate tourism, foster education, inspire youth, and bring pride back to the people of San Nicolas and beyond.
